Is blogging good?

not sure... wow... have offended the hundreds of millions (really!!!) bloggers in the planet earth in the universe... but seriously think about it... is blogging really a good thing to happen to humanity.... ok ok not humanity... just for geeks and nerds and you know who.... lets get to the basics... what is the precursor for blogging.... you know like before we walk we crawl.... as a baby.. just like baby earth... you understand... anyways back to the basic question what is the precursor for blogging....
